Gentlemen's Club Nominees Announced For 2016 ED Awards

CLEARWATER, Fla. — ED Publications, producers of the Annual Gentlemen's Club EXPO and Annual ED Awards Show and publishers of Exotic Dancer Magazine, has announced the nominees for Overall Gentlemen's Club of the Year as well as the regional club and club staff nominations.

The 19th Annual ED Awards Show will be held on Aug. 9 at Harrah's Theater in New Orleans during the 24th Annual Gentlemen's Club EXPO. The EXPO will begin on Aug. 7 and continue through Aug. 10 at the Hilton Riverside in New Orleans.

The following eight adult nightclubs are nominated for the Overall Gentlemen's Club of the Year Award: Christie's Cabaret in Tempe, Ariz., Deja Vu in Hollywood, Calif., Monroe's in West Palm Beach, Fla., the Penthouse Club in San Francisco, Rick's Cabaret in New York City, Scores in Mooresville, N.C. near Charlotte, Spearmint Rhino in Las Vegas, and Thee Dollhouse in Tampa, Fla.

Dave Manack, associate publisher for ED Publications, said, "The 2016 ED's Overall Club of the Year Award nominees represent clubs of all sizes and ownership style, from across the U.S. Many of these clubs are multiple ED Award winners, and each has set itself apart from other clubs across the country to earn this prestigious recognition. We wish them all luck with the final ballot voting."

For the first time ever, the ED's will feature the Urban Club of the Year Award, which will be presented at the opening night party. The nominees for this inaugural award include Ace of Diamonds in Los Angeles, Black Diamonds in Jackson, Miss., Blue Flame and Club Babes in Atlanta, Onyx in Charlotte, N.C., the Vegas Cabaret in Lauderhill, Fla., Starlet's Gentlemen's Club in New York City, and Vanity Grand in Philadelphia.

The 2016 ED's Awards Show will be hosted by comedian Colin Kane and will feature performances by the ED's Entertainer of the Year nominees.

While the majority of the club awards will be presented at the ED's Awards show, some club awards and all club staff awards will be presented at the EXPO's opening night showcase and Pre-ED Awards at Republic NOLA on Mon., Aug. 8.

Awards presented on Aug. 8 will include Feature Club of the Year, International Club of the Year, Urban Club of the Year, General Manger of the Year, DJ of the Year and Employee of the Year as well as three feature entertainer awards.

Final voting for the 2016 ED's Awards will begin on Jun. 15 at TheEDawards.com.
